Another great surprise - luckily up here in the hills we got enough to make the kids super-happy, but nothing but a little slush on the roads.

I particularly like the stuff that formed the little stiff "whipped cream" peaks here. Sweet.

All melted away by midday tho. Just wet grass left now. And low clouds. Posted by Picasa

Ai, look what we found. We have searched for the egg layers for about two weeks. And then I found this pile of eggs in a little straw nest on top of a bale.

In broad daylight.

Ain't no guessing with chickens. Posted by Picasa

It was a surprise this morning - we had heavy rains last night and it dipped into the 30s. Around 5am the power went off. I got up and made my rounds checking that the girls were covered with blankets (no power = no heat) and surprise surprise surprise. A light snow.

Just on the grass, but it was the big surprise of the morning. Breakfast was all about snow and why it was melting, when it would be back, etc. Gotta love child's mind.

Last night Eiley caught her foot between the slats of the crib - woke up screaming. We had no idea what was going on until we popped on the light.

Then spent a minute diong some acrobatics to undo her twisting to avoid the bind she had herself in. Oi.
